WEAR XXI

Another in the small format series, a manual screen that is propelled by the work of the visitor. This time the visitor has to clean the surface of the simple chair and this action moves the sleeping artist. The rotation of the ‘screen’ is controlled by a complex system of analogue pullies and strings. Moving the sponge across the surface of the chair rotates the wheel, onto which I glued images of me sleeping in various poses. One could say that the work performed by the visitor keeps the artist asleep.
