WEAR XVIII
In this project I abandoned the video performance completely, for it was substituted by an interactive playing field. I invited the viewers to walk on Wear XVIII. The surface of the horizontally laid construction was made so that when one walked across it, great noise is created, while the more skilful visitor could wobble a bit while walking on the work. The surface is created from car metal. This is an attempt to fulfil the hidden desire to walk on the bonnet of a car. Together with a similar transgressive idea of walking on artwork the work addresses the relation between the viewer and the artwork as well as the untouchability of the artwork and the value of the used material.
